Thiên Thanh was established in 1987 as Houston’s first bánh cuốn restaurant. From the beginning, our family set out to share the delicate steamed rice rolls of northern Vietnam with honesty, care, and a deep respect for tradition.

Our story has always been about more than one dish. Thiên Thanh grew with Houston’s Vietnamese community, guided by integrity, efficient service, and fair prices. Those family values shaped the restaurant then and continue to guide us today.
Three Generations Around Our Tables
For decades, families have gathered at Thiên Thanh after church, over weekend lunches, and for familiar meals shared across generations. Guests who first came with their parents now return with children and grandchildren of their own. That trust is the legacy we are proudest to carry forward.
